1- The Journal of High Institute of Public Health (JHIPH) is a periodical that accepts articles on different aspects of public health and its allied sciences. Papers are considered for publication with the understanding that they are contributed to the journal only and have neither been published nor accepted or submitted for publication elsewhere.
2- Original papers or review articles written in English should be submitted online on https://jhiphalexu.journals.ekb.eg/ OR may be sent by email to jhiph@alexu.edu.eg without names of authors and their affiliations for blind peer review. Please provide the text in Microsoft Word format. Where possible, graphs should be provided in Microsoft Excel format. Illustrations and photographs should be provided in jpg format.
3- Title page should be placed in a separate file. It should include the title, full names of all authors, their institutional affiliations, highest scientific degrees, emails, and contributions of authors. The contact information (email ad mobile number) of the corresponding author should be provided.
4- All authors should have made material contributions to the study design, analysis and interpretation of results and writing of manuscript. Other names may be included in the acknowledgment.
5- Papers submitted to JHIPH should conform to the Recommendations of International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). Papers reporting original research should include: Title, Abstract, keywords, Introduction, Objective(s), Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion and References.
6- An abstract should accompany each article. It should include background, objective(s), methods, results (give specific data and their statistical significance) and conclusion.
7- Key words: A list of not more than 10 key words has to be appended at the end of the abstract.
8- Ethical considerations complying with the international research guidelines and principles of Helsinki Declaration should be clearly stated at the end of the methodology section. Administrative approvals, approval of institutional research ethics committee, oral or written consent of participants and assurance of confidentiality of data should be covered.
Animal research should be approved by the institutional animal care and usage committee.
All authors should declare any conflict of interest and source of funding.
9- Tables should be typed within the results and numbered serially in Arabic numerals as they are cited in the text. Tables should not exceed in size an A4 Sheet.
10- Illustrations: Graphs, drawings, and photographs should be numbered serially in Arabic numerals
11- References: In-text citations of published works should be limited to essential up-to-date references. Apart from review articles, a maximum of 25 references is advisable. They should be numbered serially as they appear in the text with sequential Arabic numerals. References should be listed separately at the end of the text, numbered in order of citation, using the NLM Style. The titles of journals should be abbreviated according to the style used for MEDLINE.
12- All papers will be blindly peer-reviewed, and based on the reviewer's comments, the Editorial Board reserves the right to accept or reject any paper. Papers are accepted on the understanding that they are subject to statistical and editorial revision as deemed necessary, including abridgment of the text and omission of tables or graphs.
13- All accepted manuscripts are subject to editorial modification and revisions necessary to conform with the journal style.
14- The publication fees are $ 400 for maximum of 10 A4 pages (single space, font Times New Roman size 10). $ 40 are paid as administrative fees with the submission of the article (non-refundable in case of rejection) and the rest once provisionally accepted.
On the other hand, Review Articles are published for free.
